One bulk spice, several packet sizes
Add chilli powder as a bulk material, then create the 100 g, 250 g, 500 g or 1 kg sizes you sell. Each packet size has its own stock and sale price while staying linked to the same bulk spice.
Record actual yield from the packing table
Start with 25 kg of turmeric. A run consumes 5.1 kg and produces 20 × 250 g packets. MyDukaan records 5 kg in packets and 100 g wastage, leaving 19.9 kg of bulk turmeric. Staff can check both the bulk bag and ready packet shelf.
Keep retailer prices and credit together
Set an agreed price per packet for each retailer. Take their order, prepare or dispatch stock, then record the collection. A ₹6,000 delivery with ₹2,500 collected leaves ₹3,500 due in the retailer’s khata.
Check the fit before moving your records
MyDukaan supports bulk stock, packet conversion, supplier purchases, customer rates, orders and customer dues. Batch or expiry tracking, multi-location inventory and automatic payment reminders are not currently included. If these are central to your spice business, review that requirement before adopting the app.
Questions from wholesalers
Can I track whole spices and powders separately?
Yes. Create distinct bulk materials and their corresponding packet sizes. A packing run converts one bulk material into its linked packets; blending or grinding recipes are not modelled.
Can packers record a run?
Yes. The Packer role can record bulk consumed, packets produced and wastage.
Can I use this outside my state?
The product is for Indian businesses; its stock and khata workflow is not restricted to a particular city. An internet connection is required.
