Your calculation
How the calculation works
Excluding GST: tax = taxable amount × rate ÷ 100. Including GST: taxable amount = total ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100). At 18%, ₹1,000 excluding tax becomes ₹1,180. ₹1,180 including tax contains ₹180 GST.
For a split tax, the GST amount is divided between CGST and SGST or UTGST. Components round to paise; if a tax amount has an odd paise, the extra paise is assigned to CGST so the components add up to the displayed tax.
