Agree the price before the van leaves

Set a customer-specific rate for each packet size. A new order uses that rate, or the product’s default sale price if no customer rate exists. Only the owner can enter a different line price. Your manager can take orders using the agreed rates.

A retailer orders 24 packets

Suppose a retailer orders 24 × 500 g chilli packets. There are 18 on the shelf. At dispatch, MyDukaan shows the six-packet shortfall. If at least 3 kg of the matching bulk chilli is available, the team can confirm “Pack and dispatch”. The six packets are packed and all 24 leave stock together.

This automatic packing run records zero wastage. Use a manual packing run to record actual production loss before dispatch.

Let each person see the next job

Follow orders from placed to packed, out for delivery, delivered and payment pending. Staff can filter the order list by customer, order number, dates and work waiting to be done. A shop that does not prepare packets can dispatch straight from placed.

Correct quantities before dispatch

The owner or manager can add items, remove items or adjust quantities before an order goes out. The order total and customer balance update together. Once dispatched, order items are locked. A dispatched order cannot be cancelled.

Questions from wholesalers

Does my customer need an app?

No. MyDukaan is for your own staff. You enter and manage the customer’s order.

Can the delivery team edit customer prices?

No. Customer rates are controlled by the owner. Delivery staff can handle dispatch, delivery and payment recording within their role.

Does delivery settle the balance?

Only the recorded payment settles money owed. A delivered order can remain partly or fully unpaid.
