What goes into your invoice
Add the supplier and buyer details, a financial-year-unique invoice number, issue date, HSN, quantity, taxable value, applicable rates and tax amounts. Select place of supply and delivery details. Check every entry before issuing.
The fields are based on CBIC’s CGST Rule 46. Additional requirements depend on the transaction and the supplier. Showing a GSTIN alone does not establish invoice compliance.
How totals are calculated
Each line applies the percentage discount before GST. Inclusive prices have GST extracted; exclusive prices have it added. Taxable value and tax round per line to paise. Split tax allocates an odd paise to CGST. The invoice totals sum the displayed line amounts.
Questions from wholesalers
Is this an e-invoice or an e-way bill?
No. This creates an invoice document. It does not communicate with the GST portal, obtain an IRN or generate a statutory QR code. Complete any applicable government processes separately.
Can I look up a company using its GSTIN?
No. Enter the details yourself. GSTIN checks cover structure and the selected state prefix, not live registration status or legal name.
Are these invoices saved in MyDukaan?
No. Download your copy before leaving. MyDukaan’s current app provides payment receipts and stock, order and khata workflows; it does not save these website-generated tax invoices.
Can I create an invoice without GST registration?
This tool is for GST-registered suppliers’ ordinary domestic goods invoices. It does not issue bills of supply or determine whether you must register.
